Stampestuen

The members of Stampestuen have quite diverse backgrounds, but apart form the fact that they really enjoy playing together, one thing makes them join forces. That is the aim to make popular songs of the 19. century speak to modern listeners. By the use of instruments such as the pump organ, hardanger fiddle, dulcimer and psalmodicon, they want to communicate the mood and atmosphere in these different songs.

Stampestuen released their debut album “Brev fra Amerika” in May 2018.
